Three organizations – African Cultural Alliance of North American (ACANA), Southwest Community Development Corporation (SWDC), and Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC) – are combining efforts to reach underserved immigrant and low-income populations across Philadelphia.
The No One Left Behind Coalition helps people overcome barriers by increasing access to social services, maximizing eligibility for benefits, and positioning residents for long-term recovery from the pandemic.
Why We Invested
For decades, ACANA, PCDC, and SCDC have provided culturally sensitive programs to underserved and vulnerable populations. These services include financial education, direct cash assistance, housing, food, job search, legal defense, language support, and access to mental and physical health resources.
Through the Family Stability Challenge, the No One Left Behind Coalition allows these organizations to take advantage of existing, trusted communication channels such as ethnic media, social media apps, and face-to-face outreach to scale services and better measure impact.
There are approximately 56,000 immigrants across Philadelphia living in poverty. This partnership is focused on serving Philadelphians from Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia, many of whom face language and cultural barriers to accessing support. Connecting underserved immigrant and low-income residents will help our communities overcome barriers and increase economic mobility.
