We can’t afford to watch hundreds of thousands of our neighbors struggle to choose between paying rent and buying groceries, life-saving medications or keeping the lights on.
Through a combination of funds from the city and essential donors, we aim to invest $10 million annually for the next five years.
OUT OF CRISIS
This is an ambitious goal but we're committed to thinking big. Through collective city-wide efforts, our goal is see 100,000 Philadelphians rise above—and stay above—the poverty line.
100,000 fewer people in poverty means a 25% drop in Philly’s overall poverty rate.
Reducing poverty means a thriving economy, larger tax base, safer neighborhoods, stronger workforce, and a better, more equitable Philadelphia.
