Jac Rivers
Jac Rivers is a Vice President Program Officer with the J.P. Morgan & Chase Foundation. Based in the Wilmington office, Jac will lead the firms’ strategic philanthropic investments in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey.
Jac joins JPMC from the City of Philadelphia where she served as Chief of Staff in the Managing Director’s Office, overseeing 5 of the City’s operating departments. She also spent 3 years in Philadelphia city government as a Senior Operations Manager at the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities. There, Jac was charged with designing and implementing community-based, residential mental health treatment programs for people who were also involved in the justice system.
Jac earned her JD from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and she holds a B.A. and M.A. in Sociology from Lehigh University. After siting for the Maryland Bar, Jac worked in the Voter Protection Program for the 2008 Barack Obama Campaign and was subsequently appointed to positions in several agencies during both Obama Administrations. Jac Rivers is a servant at heart, fiercely passionate about racial and socio-economic equity, and committed to working in the trenches alongside of others who seek to improve the quality of life in black and brown communities. In her free time, Jac enjoys spending time with her puppy Squirrel, hiking, traveling, napping and homeowner projects.
