Douglas I. Oliver

Douglas Oliver is responsible for state and local government affairs at PECO, Pennsylvania’s largest electric and natural gas utility.  He previously served as PECO’s vice president of Corporate Communications, where he provided strategic oversight of the company’s brand and reputation, leading the company’s internal and external communications efforts. This included media relations, social media, content creation, and advertising campaigns.

Before joining PECO, Douglas was a candidate for mayor of Philadelphia, and worked as vice president of External Affairs and senior vice president of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Philadelphia Gas Works, the nation’s largest municipally-owned natural gas utility.  In previous experience, he also served as Press Secretary for the City of Philadelphia under Mayor Michael A. Nutter, where he was the spokesman and primary point of contact for local, regional, and national media.  Douglas also served as Director of Communication for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
